ALUMNADO DE BILINGÜE. Torrelavega
Day 1: Sunday, 21/04/2013.
ENGLISH:
We took the plane to Dublin in the morning and arrived at
lunchtime. The hostel was nice and clean. After having lunch we had a guided
tour around Dublin.
We loved the city!!! Our guide ended her tour telling us O´Sheas Tale. It´s a
traditional tale from Ireland. We had some free time in Grafton Street
and sang her son to Molly Malone, one of Dublin´s icons. We had dinner at
20.45. We loved the Italian Restaurant and its food!!!!
SPANISH:
Cogimos el avión hacia Dublín por la mañana y
llegamos a la hora de la comida. El hotel era muy bonito y limpio. Después de
comer hicimos un tour guiado por Dublín. Nos encantó la ciudad. Nuestra guía
terminó la visita contándonos la historia de O´Shea. Se trata de una leyenda
tradicional de Irlanda. Después tuvimos tiempo libre en Grafton Street y le
cantamos su canción a Molly Malone, uno de los iconos de Dublín. Cenamos a las
8.30. ¡Nos encantó el restaurante Italiano y la cena!
Day 2: Monday, 22/04/2013.
ENGLISH:
Today we visited The Guinness Storehouse in the
morning. We got there by tram. A guide explained
us the most important things. The building was interesting but the thing we
like most was the free soft drink in the Gravity Bar enjoying Dublin´s
landscape. We also bought things at the souvenirs shop.
We had lunch at the Burger King. Then we went
to the interactive museum Dublinia. We
were divided into two groups and learnt a lot about Irish history. We went
shopping after that and bought snacks at the supermarket (crisps, sweets…)
We had dinner at Il Vignardo restaurant. We ate
garlic bread and margarita pizza.
SPANISH:
Hoy visitamos la Fábrica de Guiness por la
mañana. Legamos allí en tranvía.
Un guía nos explicó las cosas más
importantes. El edificio era interesante pero lo que más nos gustó fue el
refresco gratuito que tomamos en el Gravity Bar disfrutando de la vista
panorámica de Dublín. También compramos recuerdos en la tienda.
Comimos en Burger King.
Después visitamos el museo
interactivo Dublinia. Nos dividieron en dos grupos y aprendimos
mucho sobre la historia irlandesa. Después fuimos de compras y compramos
aperitivos en el supermercado ( patatas, dulces…)
Cenamos en el restaurante IL
VIgnardo. Tomamos pan de ajo y pizza margarita.
Day 3: Tuesday, 23/04/2013.
ENGLISH:
Today we walked to the National Gallery and passed by Oscar Wilde´s
house, it´s quite close.Susana, our art teacher had prepared a contest in
English. We were divided in groups and the competition was hard but finally
managed to get the right answers. Everybody was moving around from one picture
to another trying to find information.
After that, we visited the Natural History
Museum. It was quite small compared to the one in London.
We had lunch in Grafton Street and visited St
Stephen´s Green shopping centre, one of the most famous in Dublin
because of its strucre. After lunch we visited The Book of Kells Exhibition and The Old library in Trinity
College. It was an amazing
visit. Most of us were very much impressed.
We walked to Henry Street
and spent there the rest of the afternoon. We had dinner at 20.45 and enjoyed
time together at the hostel.
SPANISH:
Day 4: Wednesday, 24/04/2013.
ENGLISH:
We took the DART from Dublin to Dun Laoghaire
at 10.00 o`clock. We walked along Dun Laoghaire´s peer to Sandycove and Dalkey.
Our English teacher Nieves explained a little bit about the village and the
Martellos´ Tower. We had lunch in Dalkey. It has a beautiful main street and a
large quantity of business stablishments.
We had a guided tour along Dalkey and learned
about its history. We visited Dalkey´s Bay and enjoyed the view of
Dalkeys´Island, its Martello´s tower and Killiney, were most of the Irish celebrities live. In the past, there were seven castles in
Dalkey, but nowadays only two remain.
We went back to Dublin and had dinner at 19.00
because some of us wanted to watch the Real Madrid- Borussia football match. It
was a fantastic day.
SPANISH:
Cogimos el DART de Dublín a Dun Laoaghaire a las 10.00 en punto. Caminamos
por el muelle hasta Sandycove y Dalkey. Nuestra profe de inglés, Nieves nos
explicó algunas cosas sobre el pueblo y las torres defensivas Martello. Comimos
en Dalkey. Tiene una calle principal bonita con bastantes establecimientos.Durante
el tour guiado por Dalkey aprendimos sobre su historia. Visitamos la bahía de Dalkey, disfrutamos de
la vista de la isla de Dalkey, de su torre Martello y de Killkeny, donde viven
la mayoría de los irlandeses famosos. Dalkey tenía siete castillos en el pasado
pero hoy en día sólo quedan dos.Durante la visita al castillo de Dalkey
aprendimos cómo vivía la gente en la edad media: comida, medicina,
celebraciones, estrategias defensivas… Incluso aprendimos sobre la importancia
de los arqueros y practicamos un poco con el arco. También hicimos monedas
vikingas, ¡Eso fue muy divertido! Volvimos a Dublín y cenamos a las 19.00
porque algunos queríamos ver el partido del Real Madrid. Borussia. ¡Fue un día
fantástico!
